In order to become a Virtual Assistant, first and foremost you need to have a skill or set of skills that businesses and entrepreneurs are looking for to help in their business. Years of experience are also a big factor in getting a work and project as most clients will base your expertise from the number of years you have been doing your work.

If you want or are planning to become a virtual assistant, build your Curriculum Vitae or CV first with the skills, knowledge and expertise you already have. Then, start improving your resume by upgrading and learning new skill or skills to be competitive in the Virtual Assistant industry. Focus on your strongest capability, and how they could be of service to a potential client.

Take note, if you are new to the business, you cannot expect to charge a client equivalent to an experienced and seasoned virtual assistant’s rate. You have to start from the least rate and increase your fee as you gain more experience in the business.
